I'm running the X64 version of the vista beta, and i'm trying to join my domain on a 2003 server (x86). I'm getting the following error:
***Begin error*** The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "<domain>":
The Remote procedure call failed and did not execute. ***End error***
I'm running ISA 2004 SP2 on the server. RPC is allowed, strict compliance off.
Any ideas?

I ran into this same problem. You have to disable the rpc filter in isa server 2004. Don't ask me why they haven't tested this configuration yet. -- Jeffrey Lanham

What if you don't have an ISA server with rpc filter enabled?

Check if you have other firewall software installed... 1. We solved the same issue by disabling RPC Filter in ISA but it may be similar issue in other firewalls. 2. Colegue of mine achieved same by configuring Vista to use older RPC protocol dont ask me how... But it not feasible to do on each Vista machine so we use 1. above instead.
